Bobby Palmer Addressed Women in Self-Employment

FORT MILL, SC (July 23, 2008)—Bobby Palmer, of Robert Palmer and Associates, CPA, was a speaker at the Women in Self-Employment Luncheon on Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at 11:30 a.m. The lecture was held at Beef O’Brady’s restaurant at 940 Market Street in Fort Mill, SC. Mr. Palmer provided a 30-minute lecture to women business owners about small business risks and rewards.

Palmer, a native of Fort Mill, SC, has more than 16 years’ experience in multi-million dollar corporate accounting and small business consultation. Palmer notes that according to the Journal of Small Business Management, there has been a dramatic increase in the number of women entering into self-employment situations, constituting over 500 percent national increase since 1980.

“Even locally, more and more women are choosing self-employment over wage employment for various reasons. We wished to be a resource to ensure the risks are minimized and the rewards were embraced,” tells Palmer.
